Sunflower State Matchbook Unisex Comfor-T

$27.99 USD
Founded in the depths of the Great Depression with a mission to attract new industry to the state, the Kansas Industrial Development Commission traded on the region's cheap land, centralized location and ready workforce. In the 1950s they printed matchbooks with this image on the cover; inside were staggered rows of blue-headed matches and the text:

• Better Living,
• Good Environment,
• Industrial Opportunities,
- - WRITE - -
Kansas Industrial
Development Comm.
Topeka, Kansas

In the 1960s the KIDC was reorganized as the Kansas Department of Economic Development, which in turn was once again reformatted into the Kansas Department of Commerce in 1986. They're still doing much of the same kind of work today — but it's been a long time since they handed out any advertising collateral as adorable as this!

This t-shirt is everything you've dreamed of and more. It feels soft and lightweight, with the right amount of stretch. It's comfortable and flattering for all.
