In the '80s it seemed nigh impossible for TV viewers in Kansas and Oklahoma to escape the full-volume blast of Linda "Soundtrak" Verin's voice. The attention-grabbing electronics store owner and pitchlady peppered the audience with a never-ending stream of kitschy, crazy commercials, becoming an instantly recognizable pop culture character of her time and place. The Soundtrak stores are long gone now, and last we heard, Linda was thriving in another state, running her own creative agency. (Little surprise there!) This tee is dedicated with fond memories of her loud and loopy legacy out here on the Plains.
