Rodeo Meats Cowboy Kid Unisex Comfor-T

From 1903 to 1989 a meat packinghouse operated on the Cherokee Strip, right where Kansas and Oklahoma meet, about an hour's drive south of Wichita. Generations of locals knew it as Rodeo Meats, and though the company is perhaps best remembered today as the issuer of a valuable set of rare baseball cards, for many years it was not uncommon in the region to see this logo on belt buckles, jackets, t-shirts, pencils, pocketknives and other such collateral. Sadly, Rodeo's parent company, John Morrell, closed the plant in a labor dispute in 1981, leaving hundreds of workers jobless.

The union might have lost that fight, but in tribute to the generations of workers there who fought for a fair standard of living for their families, we are bringing the friendly classic Rodeo logo back to life with a commemorative series, starting with this adorable point-of-sale character — taken from a midcentury hot dog display — on a soft, comfy tee!
